STATEMENT shewing approximate cost of repairing Damages caused by the Rain-storm of 29th and 30th of May, within the City of Victoria.

I forward herewith revised estimate for "Repair of Storm damages." The present state of the work of repairs is as given below.

The nullah has been cleared, the dry rubble retaining walls have been re-built wher they were washed away and raised near the lower boundary so as to retain the heap of sand that was partly washed down and partly taken out of the nullah, the mound itself has been formed and i being covered with earth."

The upper bridge has been restored.

The brick boundary wall has been re-built.

The arch of the bridge which carries the road between the Cemetery and race course is being repaired and will be completed in about 10 days.

Race Course. The debris which has been taken out of the nullah and placed on the paddock will at once be levelled and formed as arranged with the Clerk of the Course.

The repairs of Bowrington bridges are in hand and will not be finished for two months, probably, as the foundations have to be put in as the tide allows.
